Protection, consolidation and cleaning of stones characteristic of Apulia region: experimental analysis of environmental friendly products and monitoring of the treatments
Short Description:
Strategic Research Project financed by Apulia Regional funds (2009-13). The research Project aimed at developing innovative formulations for an effective protection, consolidation and cleaning of stone surfaces, in particular those enclosed in monumental, historical and archaeological contexts widely present in the Apulian region. The Project was carried out in collaboration with several Research Centers (CNR Institute of Archaeological Heritage, Monuments and Sites, Lecce (IT); CNR Institute for Chemical-Physical Processes, Bari (IT)) and Companies (CimtechLab, Trieste (IT); Colorobbia S.p.A., Sovigliana-Vinci, Firenze (IT); Geal s.r.l., Agliana, Pistoia (IT); Leopizzi S.r.l., Parabita, Lecce (IT)). In the framework of the Project, a training course on “Expert of techniques for protection and conservation of Cultural Heritage” for Post-doc fellows was organized, with the participation of 22 Italian and International experts.
